FOR CHILDREN

There is an important celemony when a baby becomes 100 days old called Okuizome (お食い初め).  It celebrates baby's healthy growth when the first tooth is developed, and parents mimic the baby using chopsticks hoping that the child will never suffer from hunger in life. Hashi is a symbol for food in Japan. Not just a tool.

For youngsters, it is important to select chopsticks that are easy to use. Selecting the right size and the right weight will not just improve their chopstick skills, but will let them enjoy the meal much more. Not too long, not too short, not too heavy and not too light. We can deliver just the right set to match your children's growth.

Safety is also a big concern, especially for children. Our chopsticks are fully organic and very safe for children. Please see the "Organic - Safe for everyone" page for more information.
